Dinner!

I'm so excited for tonight. We are having a friend over and I'm going to make an awesome meal. Stuffed bell peppers with couscous and beef and sweet potato fries. Um--yumm.

Sickey...

I have some sort of bug or cold. I'm doing my best to muscle through work, but it's not easy. Hopefully I feel better for this weekend's trip to Wichita. Hopefully. In better news, I won the Super Bowl for my fantasy football league. Yay!

A Monday Without A New "This American Life Podcast"...

Is still going to be great. Even before the new year I've made a resolution to be glad about going to work. Not only am I lucky to have a job...I have a job that isn't difficult. Not that I'm not challenged at times. I mean that I'm not doing manual labor or working out in the freezing cold. Pretty good stuff.

Sunday has been great. Joe and I went to mass with Emily and Andrew. After they left we went shopping. Joe got some great sneakers on sale and I found two sweaters at Target for super cheap...and that's always good.

After shopping I was able to finish my first embroidery project of my embroidery revival. Now I'm on to my second project, a cool elephant for Emily and "Hank."

E & A

Emily and Andrew are here. A great ending to a productive day. I went to Target and JoAnne's in single digit weather, then spent much of the day cleaning my apartment. When I was all done I relaxed and did some embroidery. Needle work is the best.

Elementary...

So if your planning on venturing out to the local movieplex to see "Sherlock Holmes"...don't. The art direction was great. I loved the aesthetic of this movie, and Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr. are fun, but as a whole it's slow and poorly written. It would be better enjoyed at home, where you can take a break midway through and fold your laundry. I mean that in the best way possible of course.

Happy 2010

I love even years. That's one reason that I'm excited to enter 2010. I'm also excited because I was able to spend New Years Eve with some great people. Joe, of course, and our friends Maureen and Lexie. We ate, drank, played games and watched "When Harry Met Sally" as we rang in the new year. Beautiful. Now off to see "Sherlock Holmes" and ice skate. I want to leave anyone who reads this blog with the first reading of today's mass.
